LEASE OF APPROXIMATELY 115 ACRES OF FARMLAND IN SOUTH MILLS

Notice is hereby given that Camden County is soliciting sealed bids from qualified individuals or entities for the right to farm approximately 115 acres of farmland located in the South Mills area of Camden County, North Carolina.

Property Description:

The tract consists of approximately 115 acres of agricultural land suitable for row-crop production. The property is located in South Mills, NC, and is currently owned by Camden County. A map and detailed description of the acreage are available upon request.

Lease Term:

The lease will be awarded for a term of 4 years and 8 months, beginning April 7, 2026 and ending December 31, 2031 subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the final lease agreement.

Bid Requirements:

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly labeled “FARM LEASE BID – SOUTH MILLS 115 ACRES” and must include:

• Bidder’s name, address, and contact information
• Proposed annual lease amount
• Proposed use of the land
• Any relevant farming experience or certifications

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above date and time. Late bids will not be accepted.

Evaluation:

Camden County reserves the right to accept the bid deemed to be in its best interest, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process.
