Solicitation Description:
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) is requesting to purchase a complete replacement service handgun solution to support law enforcement operations and statutory training requirements. This request includes the procurement of Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 service handguns and all associated equipment, including optics, holsters, weapon-mounted lights, armorer kits, armorer training, and required spare parts. The vendor shall ensure all firearms and optics are delivered fully assembled, mounted, and zeroed. All equipment must be delivered in time to support MTPD's annual handgun requalification cycle beginning March 2026. The vendor shall also provide trade-in credit for existing MTPD service weapons and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local firearm regulations, including ATF requirements for law enforcement shipments.
