Mercedes Fire Hoses

The organization, Andrews AFB Fire and Emergency Services, has identified a critical need to acquire new, specialized fire hoses and couplings. This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY. No proposals are being requested or accepted at this time. This notice does not constitute a solicitation. The required items are specifically Mercedes-brand hoses of various types and sizes, complete with factory-installed, compatible aluminum couplings. This includes:

- 4" Supply Hose: Needed for providing the primary water supply from hydrants to fire apparatus during structural and Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) incidents.

- 1.75" Attack Hose: To serve as the primary hose for firefighters to conduct interior attacks on structural fires.

- 2.5" Attack/Supply Hose: Required for situations demanding high-flow water streams, such as large-volume fires, standpipe operations, and ARFF support.

- Couplings: Essential for ensuring secure, leak-free connections that prevent accidental disconnection under pressure and speed up deployment with directional indicators.

The end goal is to equip the fire department with reliable, durable, and standardized equipment that is suitable for a range of critical operations, including structural firefighting, ARFF support, and municipal water supply tasks. The need is for equipment that ensures a dependable water supply, enhances firefighter safety, and improves operational efficiency on the fire-ground.
