Notice of Intent to Award a Sole-Source Contract
Announcement Number: REQUIREMENTS-24-2645
Project Title: La Jolla Fire Suppression System Repairs and Replacement
The US Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Western Acquisition Division (WAD), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with CDS Services, LLC using the procedures in FAR Part 12 – Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services in conjunction with FAR Subpart 13.5 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services., to provide termite and pest treatment services to the Santa Cruz Laboratory at the Southwest Fisheries Science Center in Santa Cruz, California. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is FAR 13.501(a) and FAR 6.302-5(b)(6), Authorized or required by statute, Sole source awards under the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003 (15 U.S.C. 657f).
The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 561710, with a business size standard of $17.5M.
This notice of intent is not a formal solicitation or request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. No award will be made on the basis of quotations or offers received in response to this notice.
Interested parties may submit their interest and capabilities no later than August 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM Pacific Time. The government contemplates a firm-fixed priced commercial item contract for services.
