FOR THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF JONES COUNTY
ELLISVILLE, MISSISSIPPI
The Economic Development Authority of Jones County will receive sealed
proposals at 112 Base Drive, Laurel, Mississippi, until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15,
2026 for “Site Development Grant Project at I-59 South Industrial Site—Phase 4, Contract
B, Industrial Park Road Water Main Relocation”, also known as Engineer's Project No.
26-032. Bids will be opened in the Conference Room on the 1st floor of the Laurel Airport
Terminal Building and read aloud.
All proposals shall be directed to the attention of Ross Tucker, President & CEO,
with the outside of the envelope marked "Bid Proposal for Site Development Grant Project
at I-59 South Industrial Site—Phase 4, Contract B, Industrial Park Road Water Main
Relocation, for the Economic Development Authority of Jones County.” Contractor shall
indicate certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope.
The plans, specifications, and contract documents can be viewed and obtained
online at www.phbidding.co. By use of the website, the plan holders shall have the option
of obtaining physical copies of the plans and specifications and shall have the opportunity
to submit an official bid online.
Basis of Award: The award, if made, will be to the lowest qualified bidder on the
Base Bid Amount. The Owner intends to accept the lowest and best bid and reserves the
right to reject any and/or all bids.
A Certified check or Bid Bond for FIVE PERCENT (5%) of the total bid payable to
The Economic Development Authority of Jones County must accompany each proposal.
Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letter qualifying in
any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an
irregular bid, and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
