Fire Hydrant Painting

The City of Bowie, Maryland requests bids from qualified and experienced contractors to paint fire hydrants throughout the City.  Complete specifications and bid documents may be obtained at no cost through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/5742_Fire_Hydrant_Painting . Registration to use Bid Locker is at https://bidlocker.us/Account/Signup and is free to all interested parties.

The Contractor is required to use its best efforts to comply with the City of Bowie Community Workforce Compliance Agreement.

Electronic (pdf) bids will be received through Bid Locker at https://bidlocker.us/details/5742_Fire_Hydrant_Painting until 1:00p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026. The City of Bowie reserves the right to reject any bids.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in the Public Works Administration building conference room, located at 16500 Annapolis Road, Bowie, Maryland.

All questions or requests for clarifications regarding this Invitation for Bids are required to be submitted through the Bid Locker platform at https://bidlocker.us/details/5742_Fire_Hydrant_Painting prior to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026. Written responses to all questions and/or requests for clarifications will be issued as an addendum to the solicitation no later than Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to all those who have registered with Bid Locker and downloaded the specifications and bid documents.

The City encourages certified disadvantaged business entities to submit a bid.
