This requirement was competed amongst the USACE Vicksburg District’s blanket purchase agreement holders for dry dock services. The Mat Sinking Unit of the US Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District requires dry docking of two of its barges and repairs to be made to both. Mooring Barge 7403 is a 400' x 45' x 9' draft. Matboat 4801 is a custom barge built specifically for tying articulated contrete mattress. It is 176' wide x 75' long x 9 with a 5.5' draft. Mooring Barge 7403 requires two coats of paint on several areas of the barge. It also requires cropping and renewal for a section of side plate about 40' wide x 3' tall. Matboat 4801 requires repairing a leak in the hull of the barge.
