Justification: Police Services is requesting an X Ray assembly mount along with batteries for the robots that The Bomb Squad uses. Romtec is a current vendor with DeKalb County and they are the vendor of the robots and the batteries that is being used by The Bomb Squad.
Background
Romtec is the sole manufacturer and distributor for the ANDROS family of Hazardous Duty Robots including the following models/series: FX, Wolverine, Mk V-Al, F6A, F6B,
Spartan, Mini II, HD series, Titus and SRl. This includes all related upgrades, accessories, parts, training, refurbishments and service. The Legacy Hybrid Radio System (Part Number 2463 8480) is a Radio System designed and produced by Remotec exclusively for our mobile robotic platforms and unmanned ground vehicle systems. REMOTEC's ANDROS systems have a unique articulated track design, which is patented under U.S. Patent No. 4,746,9n, Patent No. 4,923,831 and Patent No. 5,022,812.
