The Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ) Safety Division requires advanced, in-person safety training provided exclusively by the Mid Atlantic OTI (MAOTI) / Chesapeake Regional Safety Council (CRSC). As the Regional (Zone 3) OSHA Training Institute Education Center and the area chapter of the National Safety Council, MAOTI/CRSC is uniquely positioned to deliver this essential training. This training is critical to ensure compliance with federal OSHA law, Department of Defense and Marine Corps orders/regulations, and National Fire Protection Association 70E Standards. Failure to obtain this training could significantly impair the ability to train Marines and Marine civilians effectively, potentially compromising safety and regulatory compliance. Additionally, MCBQ Safety Specialists are mandated to earn annual Continuing Education Credits (CEUs), which MAOTI/CRSC facilitates through its nationally recognized Specialized Safety Certificate Programs. These programs provide comprehensive, high-quality training that equips safety professionals with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to excel in today’s complex safety environment and align with industry-leading certifications. By utilizing MAOTI/CRSC as the sole source, MCBQ ensures access to these critical certificate programs and maintains compliance with all relevant standards.
