Description of Intended Products or Services Provided:
Outerlink IRIS satellite tracking equipment is integrated into Collier County's medical helicopter and was installed at the time of build/purchase of the aircraft. Outerlink services for tracking the aircraft are required and is monitored via the Outerlink website.
Collier County Helicopter Operations is an FAA CFR Part 135 air ambulance operator and is required to maintain flight following (tracking) of the air ambulance helicopter. This allows CCSO dispatch to identify the location of the aircraft at all times for emergencies and normal operations.
