Description:

Long Island State Parks is looking for a public address system and operator for 2025 special events performances ( Air Show and July 4th at Jones Beach)

2025 Air Show – Equipment rental and production services of a Public Address System for Friday, May 23, 2025, through Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Provide large coverage audio system to include the following specifications for an outdoor venue of an approximate distance of a 3,000’ wide beachfront area to be set-up on a boardwalk and beachfront:

  • Ten Main Systems: Ten 6ft. 6-inch platforms with three V-DOSC line array speaker systems with one V-DOSC sub and two EAW JF590 speakers; 15” speaker with horn - total power 13,200 watts rms per location x 10
  • Two Tent Systems: Two – 2 Self Powered Biamped 12’ w/1.4” Horn speakers (300-watt rms low / 100 watt rms high) on tripod stands and one self-powered 15” sub bass speaker (900 watts rms) with x-over, local control of volume and eq. Signal distribution from the main system must be provided (4 speakers total/ 2 Subs)
  • Additional specifications:

  • For the Memorial Day Weekend Air Show Event, you will provide a 20’ x 12’ x 9’ (min. 200 lbs. per sq. ft. cap.) platform with railings and stairs for announcing; control location under this platform with wired and wireless mics available for speaking.

The System set-up will begin on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 10 A.M. Entire system to be in place and operational for the Friday, May 23, 2025, rehearsal, Saturday, and Sunday event shows; removal following last show on Sunday at approximately 5 P.M or later. Bidder to provide a minimum of one audio engineer, one assistant engineer and two stagehands. Bidder is responsible to provide sufficient staffing for the delivery, set-up, operation, breakdown, and removal of entire system, as well as round-trip trucking.

July 4 th Fireworks Display – Equipment rental and production services of a Public Address System for our Fourth of July Fireworks Presentation on July 4 th , 2025.

Provide large coverage audio system to include the following specifications for an outdoor venue of an approximate distance of a 3,000’ wide beachfront area to be set-up on a boardwalk and beachfront:

  • For the Fireworks Event, you will provide a 20’ x 12’ x 9’ (min. 200 lbs. per sq. ft. cap.) platform with railings and stairs for a musical performance; control location under this platform with wired and wireless mics available for speaking.

Jones Beach State Park will hold the fireworks presentation with the primary viewing area of the beachfront. The presentation will be tied directly to the fireworks performance and will require coordination of production between the PA system engineer and the Fireworks performance company. Specific requirements for this will be provided prior to the event.

System set-up for Friday, July 4, 2025, to begin at approximately 9 A.M. to be in place for the evening Fireworks Display at approximately 9 P.M. with removal beginning immediately after the show approximately 10 P.M. Bidder to provide a minimum of one audio engineer, one assistant engineer and two stagehands. Bidder is to provide delivery, set-up, operation, breakdown, and removal of entire system, as well as round-trip trucking. Jones Beach State Park will provide; electric via (6) 25 kw generators, four men and vehicle for 4 hours to assist your staff with the set up and breakdown of the speaker stands and to assist with equipment load in on the boardwalk and beachfront, and, if necessary, overnight security. A golf cart will be available for set-up and monitoring of the system, all other carts and equipment related to the set-up and operation of this system must be provided by the vendor
