Compressor

Q and A

1. Can you provide pictures of the room where the compressor will go?

a. Attached

2. What are the specifications of the concrete pad? (Please note: we do not require a concrete pad, and our compressors are rubber-isolated, so they do not need to be bolted to the floor. Is this acceptable?)

a. Even with the rubber isolation the concrete housekeeping pad is required

3. What is the distance of the electric service to the compressors?

a. There will be a disconnect box on the wall within 10 feet of each piece of equipment

4. Will a breaker be provided, or will we need to supply one?

a. There will be a breaker in the disconnect box and a breaker in the main panel

5. There is mention of duct work — can you describe in detail what is required?

a. Although I am not an expert, there is ductwork for fresh-air, you can see in the picture in (2) places.

6. There is no oil/water separator which is required for all drain lines on compressors, dryers, tanks, and filters

a. No separator needed

7. There is not a tank for the oil free compressor

a. The oil free compressor is for breathing air and does not require a tank (see attached diagrams)

8. A 400 gallon tank is not big enough for the 100HP. Industry recommends 4-5 gallons per CFM.

a. The 400-gallon tank should be sufficient. Multiple high volume air devices will not be in use simultaneously

9. There is no dryer for the recip machine

a. According to the attached diagram this compressor routes coalescing and particulate filters into air receiver and them thru the air drier.
