Sewage Treatment Plant Cleaning of Primary Digester No. 1

Project Description: Blairsville Municipal Authority will be accepting bids for the Sewage Treatment Plant, Cleaning of Primary Digester Number 1. The Primary Digester Cleaning Project involves the removal and disposal of accumulated material from Primary Digester Number 1. This consists of complete removal of fill sludge, grit, entangled items, and additional accumulated material within the mixer, draft tube, baffles, and piping system within the Primary Digester. The Primary Digester will receive power/pressure washing of the interior floor and walls, and all accumulated material collected will be hauled using an appropriate disposal method for transporting material to a proper disposal site. The existing disposal site is cleared to accept the WWTP sludges, but the contractor is responsible for clearances and tracking for these loads of waste to any disposal site. The cleaning will include dewatering of the solids, with the decant liquid pumped to the headworks.
