Description

The US Army Contracting Command-Redstone, Operations, Services, & Training Division, plans to obtain information to serve as market research to help identify potential sources that can provide International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17025 laboratory accreditation for AOAP’s Redstone Arsenal, AL laboratory. ISO 17025 is an international standard that sets general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. It is used to demonstrate the technical competence of a lab and ensures the reliability and validity of its results. It provides a framework for laboratories to demonstrate their competence, impartiality, and consistent operation, as well as show the laboratory produces accurate and reliable results. Accreditation to the ISO 17025 standard is a critical requirement for AOAP, as it provides independent, third-party objective evidence of compliance and international recognition of the quality of the oil analysis services provided by the AOAP. This effort directly contributes to the AOAP’s mission to provide continuous in-service lubricant sample analysis in support of Army requirements worldwide.
