The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM CBC) and Army Contracting Command – Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Edgewood Contracting Division have conducted bothmarket research and a benefits analysis and has determined that the consolidation of this procurement is both necessary and justified to meet mission requirements. Consolidation will result in significant cost savings, greatly improve performance quality,and eliminate unnecessary administrative burdens on behalf of the Government. Overall, the benefits of the consolidated approach substantially exceed the benefits ofany alternative contracting approach and is necessary and justified.
