This public notice is prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 5.2 Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions.
The Library of Congress Contracts and Grants Directorate intends to award a sole source contract to Russell Oliver for the required services described in this posting. The period of performance shall be six months and the overall value of the contract is estimated to be below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) defined as $250,000.00 and above the public notice threshold of $25,000.00.
This contract is for the production of a short documentary film drawing on primary source materials from Community Collections Grant (CCG) program collections and community-based creators. The film will be premiered in 2025 on loc.gov and other Library of Congress web properties as element of a year-long celebration of the CCG program. In order to align with the objectives for the Of The People initiative and the CCG program, the film must adhere to the perspective of the communities documented in the project collections. This requirement shall feature AFC 2022/008: Documenting the Stories, Agricultural Traditions, and Culture of Specialty Coffee Farmers in Puerto Rico.
This announcement constitutes the only public notice. Proposals are not being requested from other parties and a written solicitation will not be issued. This public notice accomplishes the following:
