Solicitation Summary
Cecil County Public Library (CCPL) is seeking price proposals from qualified
General Contractors to renovate and expand the Elkton Branch Library.
A complete renovation of the existing building is anticipated which will
include targeted structural scope on the east and west wings, limited to
include expanding window openings in the exterior load-bearing masonry
walls. A new clerestory is proposed to extend the entire center portion of
the existing roof system between the two existing courtyards.
New construction outside the existing footprint includes enclosing
approximately 3,000 SF of the North and South courtyards between two
wings of the existing building and a new entry canopy.
Site work includes, but is not limited to: grading, utility, storm water, and
landscape / hardscape improvements.
