ENMAX
ENMAX is currently seeking information about the availability of 'Grid Services' in Calgary Alberta, from organizations with:
- existing deployed or enrolled DERs,
- active development pipelines, or
- demonstrated capability and interest in developing or aggregating assets to provide grid services in the future.
For the purposes of this survey, “Grid Services” refers to third‑party, non‑regulated services provided by owners, operators, or aggregators of distributed energy resources (“DERs”) that can support distribution system needs through actions such as:
- voluntary load curtailment,
- scheduled charging or discharging of energy storage,
- other managed operation of customer‑sited or aggregated DERs in coordination with a utility
This survey is interested only in services available to support regulated distribution functions such as local reliability, capacity management, and system performance, and is distinct from AESO wholesale market products or ancillary services.
This is an information‑gathering exercise only and will not result in a contract award.
