Description

The Department of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has a requirement for the provision of services to include refurbishment and hydrostatic re-testing and certification of two (2) helium tube trailers located in Egbert, Ontario.

In accordance with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Transport Canada (TC) CSA Standard B339, hydrostatic testing is a mandatory 10-year certification for pressure vessels to Transport Canada code. ECCC has two (2) helium trailers (10 Tube Super Jumbo Helium Tube Trailer (class 3T) and 8 Tube Jumbo Helium Tube Trailer (class 3AAX) that require inspection, refurbishment and mandatory 10- year hydrostatic testing certification. The work will involve the following:

a.        Heavy equipment transportation of two (2) helium tube trailers located at ECCC location in Egbert, Ontario to the Contractor’s site and return to the ECCC location in Egbert, Ontario within three weeks of Contract Award;

b.        Inspection of each trailer to identify and complete all repairs required for certification;

c.        Supply and install of all required parts to complete certification of each tanker;

d.        Provide certification and required labelling on each trailer and all applicable certification documents;

e.         Complete 10 year re-certification on all helium tubes in accordance with CSA B339 ( https://tc.canada.ca/en/dangerous-goods/csa-b339 )
