WQ-25-019 Fernandina Trolley Service

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (the “Authority” or “JTA”) is a public body politic and corporate agency of the State of Florida created under Chapter 349, as amended, Florida Statutes. The Authority is a transit and transportation facilities provider in North Florida, constructing and improving roadways as well as constructing, equipping and operating transit services. The Authority operates in Duval County, Florida (the “County”), including in the City of Jacksonville, Florida (the “City”) and surrounding areas.

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority (the "Authority" or "JTA") is seeking a Contractor to provide trolley services for the City of Fernandina Beach. Specific Operator responsibilities and required driver's qualifications are found in the provided Scope of Work. The service would be a simple bus route, serving designated stops in Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island, and open to all members of the public.

The City of Fernandina Beach wishes to run a pilot trolley route within the city and other parts of Amelia Island in Nassau County, Florida. The service would run during summer months, beginning on Memorial Day or after based on the completion of contracting, and lasting until Labor Day weekend.
