at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Office of Procurement. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; https://www.springfield-ma.gov/cos/ beginning on August 5, 2026.

The City of Springfield is seeking bids from qualified firms to enter into an agreement to provide Block Pruning Tree Work services, which will include trimming and proper disposal of tree debris as directed by the City Forester. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes. The term of the contract is One (1) year with options to renew for two (2) additional years. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $750,000.00 per year.

All questions regarding the IFB or its specifications must be received in writing by the Office of Procurement on or before 8/12/26 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS and federal Davis-Bacon Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
