Deer Lake Dam D54-112 - Infrastructure Repairs, Renovations & Upgrades

Project Description: Separate sealed bids will be received, by the Borough of Deer Lake, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania online via PennBid for the Deer Lake Dam D54-112 – Infrastructure Repairs, Renovations & Upgrades project until 11:00 A.M. prevailing time, on November 11, 2025. Bids will be opened with results displayed publicly on PennBid. Bids will be reviewed and recommended for award to the lowest qualified Bidder at the Public Meeting of the Deer Lake Borough Council at their regularly scheduled meeting to be held at 6:00 P.M. prevailing time on November 11, 2025.

The project generally consists of concrete repairs to resurface the dam core wall and abutments, reinstall and mount three sluice gates to the dam structure & lubricate three sluice gates, reinstall and secure the three trash cages to the dam structure, the removal and installation of Sediment Basin No. 1 concrete wall, installation of sediment basin wall at the influent into the diversion channel and replacement of the sediment basin wall where the diversion channel enters into the lake. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on October 21, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Deer Lake Borough Municipal Building, 238 Lake Front Drive, Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania 17961.
Bidders are directed to ensure that bid submissions are complete as required by the specifications; incomplete submissions may be deemed non-responsive. All bidders must furnish bid security, Performance Bonds, Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance coverage as required by the Contract Documents. The wages paid on this project will be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and supplemented.
Contract will be financed in part by a grant from CFA Local Share Account Grant.
The Borough of Deer Lake reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all Bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items.
