Description

Westlock County seeks an appropriate and qualified contractor for a three year contract to provide removal of pests and clearing of obstructions from waterways and culverts.
This would consist primarily, but not exclusively of:
- Trapping and destroying beaver in 10-12 rotating spots all throughout the municipal borders as indicated by county staff.
- Removal of beaver dams by whatever means are appropriate, including hand removal and use of explosives.
- Consultation with landowners when activities must be undertaken on private land.
- Assisting county staff in removal of beaver dams by mechanical excavation.
- Travel between sites requiring driving of up to 350 kms per day.
- A service period of 6 months per year of the contract, from March through October.
