Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source for The New York Marriott Marquis Hotel Rooms and Conference Space for 2024 NYC Veterans Week Events

This is a Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price contract using FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures.

This year, the USMC is the featured Service for the 2024 NYC Veteran’s Week Events. In addition to the 2024 NYC Veteran’s Week Parade, the commissioning ceremony of the USS John Basilone is slated to occur on 9 November. The USMC can leverage support to these two events and others during the Week by interacting with National media outlets and participating in Marine Corps Birthday events within the city. This requirement is for the procurement of 35 double rooms, 15 single rooms, and conferencing space from November 6, 2024 through November 13, 2024. The Governement intends to Award on a Sole Source basis to: The New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway, New York, New York USA, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.

However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement by 8:00am EST on October 23, 2024. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses shall be emailed to Heaven Onley, at heaven.j.onley.civ@usmc.mil, no later than Monday, October 23, 2024 8:00a.m. EST.
