STATION 18T - 13810 NE 5 AVENUE, NORTH MIAMI, 33161
SCOPE OF WORK FOR STATION 18T:
Project Overview: The work, in general consists of removal and dispose of any existing asphalt
area, existing Canopy to be removed, existing adjacent trees to be removed and any and all
interfering obstacles with new location to accommodate for New Single Trailer, New (2) steel
containers and New Canvas Canopy Awning. The project site will accommodate new proposed 6”
Monolithic Concrete Slab, with new concrete slopes with Broom finish, as well as new Asphalt
area, with the (2) Steel containers, a new Trailer and Canvas Canopy; as noted on the Contract
Project Drawings, consisting of seven (7) sheets D-1.0, A-1.0, A-2.0, A-3.0, E-1-0, E-2.0 and
MEP-1.0 here in prepared in-house by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Facilities & Construction
Division dated 11/06/2025. Temporary Trailer at Fire Station #18 - located at 13810 NE 5th Ave.
North Miami Fl. 33161.
The Contractor shall provide the necessary materials, equipment, and labor associated to furnish,
deliver and install (2) 8’x 20’Ft. High Cube, New EMS & Bunker Gear Steel Storage Containers,
manufactured, assembled and delivered by the Contractor; with new anchoring details, exterior
doors, as well as Mechanical & Electrical details shown herein contract drawings reference
above. Note, exterior doors to the containers must have NOA’s and have Miami-Dade County
approval. Nonetheless it’s the contractor’s responsibility to field measure and verify each existing
project notes and components associated with this project scope of work.
• New HVAC units to be mounted on exterior welded heavy duty, 2” minimum Steel Angels,
painted with rust proof epoxy paint to match existing containers.
• Containers are to be in new condition. Used containers will not be approved nor accepted.
Documentation certifying containers are new are to be provided to MDFR PM. Containers are to
be watertight and properly sealed at all new weld areas and new penetrations.
GearGrid Corporation: The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, material and equipment
to furnish, assemble and install a total of (21) GearGrid wall mounted lockers with doors; Color:
Red - 20”W x 20”D x72”H.
(10)-Openings/Bank of 10, and 11-Openings/Bank of 11). GearHanger Hanging Rods-20”, and
GearHanger Secure Bracket Kits; to be installed inside the steel container as shown herein
contract drawings. Bunker lockers containers are to be provided with the appropriate steel/ wood
backing, to receive Full wall height with diamond plate finish for wall mounted GearGrid lockers.
Contractor to coordinate backing type and locations with GearGrid manufacturer, see contract
drawings for details, including Electrical & Mechanical work for connections.
EMS Room: The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, material and equipment to furnish,
assemble and install All shelving’s, storage racks, etc. to be installed and provided by the
contractor, as shown herein contract drawings for details, including Electrical & Electrical work for
connection.
New Gable Canvas Canopy/ Awning for Apparatus Bay: The contractor is responsible to provide
complete and detail Shop Drawings including Electrical for approval prior to fabrication. Canopies
are to be inclusive of all Asphalt cutting/ patching, compaction, Engineering Calculations,
necessary shop drawings and Engineering designed footings/ foundations required for the
structure. The contractor is to refer to contract drawings for approximate minimum dimensions to
accommodate MDFR Fire Engine vehicles.
Proposed Single Trailer manufactured by Advanced Modular: Advanced Modular will be dropping
off trailer/ balancing and properly anchoring trailer. The contractor will be responsible for the
Electrical portion of work to connect to proposed “Panel D” as well as the Plumbing and
Mechanical work to connect the trailer to existing site utilities. See contract project drawings to
details and connections.
Note: Before new trailer is install on site; contractor is to back-fill with temporary fill as necessary
to support the access to place trailer on site and immediately remove fill upon completion of said
trailer installation. Make reference to contract project drawings sheet A-1.0 Site Plan.
The work includes, but not limited to:
• Site Improvements such as: Removal & disposal of any existing asphalt area, concrete slabs, or
trees adjacent or interfering with the new location for steel containers, Canvas Canopy, etc.
• Remove and dispose of tree’s stumps as well as tree roots, and all other existing elements/
components interfering, to achieve an even and leveled surface to accommodate for a new
concrete slab.
• Contractor to add or delete (lime rock fill as necessary) for soil material over a well compacted
fill for finish grade; including new 6 ml vapor barrier membrane.
• All work to comply with current FBC.
• Contractor to provide labor, material, transportation and equipment to perform all operations
required for the installation of the proposed new concrete slab, Canvas Canopy, Steel containers
& trailer installation. Contractor to follow the requirements listed on the RPQ and project plans at
all times. Contractor is responsible to comply with all requirements, according to the
Miscellaneous Construction Contractor.
• Contractor to include necessary dumpster as required to comply with the proposed scope of
work.
• Replace any and All damaged grass area, shrubs and re-sod adjacent to the affected work area;
re-sod areas as needed.
• MDFR emergency vehicles have the Right-Of-Way at all times. Contractors are not to block or
interfere with MDFR daily operations.
• Contactor is responsible to call All utility companies for underground location and shall Not begin
excavating/digging until all underground utilities have been located.
• Work required to be accomplished during off hours and weekends as necessary to meet the
project schedule or sequence of the work shall be performed by the contractor at no additional
cost to owner.
• Storing of material will only be allowed by contractor written request and MDFR Construction
written approval. If grounds are used for storing material, equipment, working area, etc.,
contractor to return grounds to its original conditions.
• Contractor shall repair & repaint All damaged walls caused, as a result of the proposed scope of
work at the cost of the contractor, including cost of paint to match existing colors.
• MDFR Fire Rescue Facility are NOT allowed for contractor’s use, therefore contractor shall
provide OHSA approved portable toilets; service and maintain port-o-let and other temporary
equipment for contractor use. Contractor and their employees are not allowed inside the Fire
Station, for No reason other than emergency purposes.
• The contractor shall notify MDFR Project Manager of any deviations or conditions encountered
which are contrary to those indicated on the project contract sketch drawing document. Failure to
make written notifications, shall place responsibility upon the contractor to carry out the work in a
satisfactory and workmanlike manner.
Electrical & Mechanical - Contractor to provide and install All Electrical work including low-voltage
associated with the proposed project contract drawings. Contractor shall be familiar with the
project contract drawings as well as the project site. All Electrical installation work shall comply
and meet All standard requirements of the NEC, FBC, and any other applicable Federal, State
and local codes, such as local electric utility and telephone company.
Plumbing/Piping - Contractor to provide and install All Plumbing/sewer work associated with the
approved project drawings. The contractor shall be familiar with the project contract drawings as
well as the project site. Plumbing Installation work shall comply and meet all standard
requirements of the NFPA, IFGC and NFGC.
Additional Electrical Scope of Work for New Trailer: The following is to be included as part of this
RPQ
Electrical/Low Voltage
1. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials required to complete all of the Electrical Work as
further described below and within plans provided.
2. Contractor shall provide and install 1” conduit with pull string from trailer IT closet to containers
as shown in drawings. Coordinate exact location with MDFR Project Manager.
3. Contractor shall not be responsible for the following wiring systems inside the temporary
trailers.
a. US Digital Alert/Recall system wiring, devices, and terminations.
b. Fire alarm system wiring, devices, and terminations.
c. Data Cabling wiring, devices, and terminations.
4. Conduits installed under vehicle traffic areas shall be no less than 24” in depth (top of conduit).
5. Contractor shall not de-energize any electrical panel or circuit without the approval of MDFR
Project Manager.
6. Contractor shall provide submittals and/or shop drawings for MDFR approvals prior to
purchase of equipment.
7. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage done during trenching and excavating
operations.
8. Contractor shall provide safety barricades, fence, etc. and to maintain all construction
areas of the project in a safe manner.
• Card Reader System for New Trailer (NEW INSTALLATION)
1. Required Equipment
a. Genetec Mercury 2 Reader Interface PCB Board/Modules: Controls up to 6 Readers.
b. Genetec Mercury Intelligent Controller: Interfaces with the reader boards.
c. Genetec Cabinet Enclosure: LifeSafety Power E4M up to 8 Doors Enclosure with Mercury
backplate. Large enough to house the controller and associated devices (batteries, power
supplies, cloud link, etc.).
d. Synergis Cloud Link: Includes necessary software.
e. Surge Suppression Devices.
f. Backup Batteries: Minimum rating of 7AH.
g. Card Reader SIGNO Black, 20K: Reader locations are shown on plans (gates, entrances, exits
etc.) Replace all existing card readers.
h. Door Strikes: HES 9600/9700 Electric Strike for Rim Exit Devices
2. System Integration Requirements Licenses
a. Include all necessary installation and operational licenses.
3. Coordination
a. Work with MDFR IT Department to ensure seamless integration.
4. Execution of Work
a. Wiring
i. Existing wiring will remain in place and be used. New wiring will be required at new reader
locations as shown on plans.
b. Existing Devices
i. Existing lock mechanisms and door contacts as shown on plans shall be removed and replaced.
See section 1.
ii. Existing Kantech controllers shall be removed and replaced. See section 1.
iii. Existing network device connected to Kantech controllers shall be removed.
c. New Devices
i. New lock mechanisms, and door contacts shall be installed at new locations.
5. Product Submittals
a. Provide to MDFR Project Manager for review before ordering.
6. Work Sequencing Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to complete work efficiently and
meet project deadlines. Repairs and Repainting Contractor will repair and repaint any damaged
walls, matching existing Fire Station colors, at their own cost.
• Contractor shall be registered and certified with Genetec systems to perform tasks noted in
sections 1-6 above.
The proposed (2) Steel Storage Containers shall consist of the following minimum requirements
as per (MDFRD).
1. Shop Drawings to be submitted for owner (MDFRD) approval prior to both Container’s
fabrication. Paint both containers - Color to be approved by MDFR prior to fabrication.

*As specified in the Project Contract Drawings, sheet E-1.0, Containers to be connected to
Existing Fire Station Electrical Panel “GE THQB Panel”. As previously mentioned, any field
deviations, Contractor shall notify MDFR immediately for further investigation and resolution.
All Shop Drawing’s approval required by MDFR, prior to any fabrication or ordering materials and
installation, as well as Notice of Acceptance NOA. The awarded contractor shall provide (5)
copies of the proposed Shop Drawings with calculations for review and approval no later than 5-
days after receipt of Contract Award & Purchase Order.
It is the intension of the Contract Project drawings for Temporary Station 18; thereto require that
all materials be used in the manner intended by the manufacturer, and that all work be performed
by the standards adopted by appropriate trade associated. To this objective, where a particular
system, product, material or services is specified, the applicable current standard specifications or
recommendations of the manufacturer are thereby incorporated.
Contractor shall provide MDFRD with a three (3) years labor warranty after the FINAL acceptance
approval by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, Project Construction Manager.
Safety and Security Precautions – All on-site contractor’s personnel, shall have identification and
or company business attire according to the rules and regulations set by the Miscellaneous
Construction Contract 7360-0/07. Contractor shall be responsible for the storage and protection of
materials & equipment’s. Contractor shall provide barriers/ barricades etc. as necessary to
prevent entry and protect construction employees/ personnel at all times. Contractor shall be
responsible for all safety precautions and accident preventive provisions of OSHA and all
applicable safety codes; Including no claims shall be made against (MDFR) by reason of any act
of an employee or trespasser.

STATION 41 - 4911 SW 117 AVENUE, MIAMI, FL 33175
SCOPE OF WORK FOR STATION 41:
Project Overview: The purpose of this project is to install a new single-wide trailer at Miami Dade
Fire Rescue Station 41 to accommodate expanded fire rescue services. This will involve the
installation of the trailer and necessary site improvements. This additional space shall be fully
functional and integrated with the current fire station's operations, regulations, accessibility
standards, and in accordance to the Construction Documents by MDFR dated 10/10/2025.
Scope of Work:
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment, and supervision for all
operations of the subject project.
The Work consists of the relocation of existing assets, demolition, clearing, grubbing, preparation
of subgrade, importing new lime rock infill, installation of (1) new light pole, and installation of a
new single wide trailer.
The Contractor shall be responsible for performing their own dimensions and calculations for the
following scopes of work as specified in the project drawings:
· Installation of concrete slab on grade
· Installation of Asphalt Pavement
· Installation of Infill Geo-web, geo-textile, and aggregates
· Installation of lime rock for infill areas (parking and ground water retention area)
· Installation of new grass and chain-link fence to match existing
· Installation of new dumpster enclosure with concrete pad
· Installation of new canvas canopies
· Installation of Security Gate and Fencing
· Civil Engineering
· Compaction testing
· General Construction
· Electrical
· Low Voltage
· Plumbing
· Thermoplastic Striping and Stop Bars
Submittals/ Shop Drawings:
The Contractor shall submit project Submittals prior to purchasing, ordering, or delivery of
materials and installation. The Contractor shall provide electronic Submittals, or 4 hard copies of
the Submittal. The Contractor shall provide the MDFR Construction Supervisor with a Schedule of
Values for review and acceptance by no later than 15 days after the Notice of Award and prior to
the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Document Pickup:
Pre-Bid Meeting::
Submittals consist of the following:
Geo-web, Geo-textile, and aggregate assembly, Trailer System, Trailer Platform System, Asphalt,
Thermoplastic Striping and Stop Bars, Electrical Devices, Fire Retardant and Water-proof
Canopy.
Shop Drawings are required for the Canopy and Columns, Rolling Gate, and Fencing.
Warranty / Guarantee Requirements
Guarantee: The Contractor shall provide a manufacturer’s guarantee for the installed products.
This Warranty shall become effective upon Substantial Completion acceptance by the MDFR
Construction Manager.
General Notes, Requirements, and Conditions
It is the intension of the construction documents that all materials be used in the manner intended
by the manufacturer, and that all work be done by standards adopted by the appropriate trade
associated. To this objective, where a particular system, product, materials, or services is
specified, the applicable current standard specifications, or recommendations, of the
manufacturer are thereby incorporated.
The Contractor shall coordinate the transportation, delivery, staging, storing of materials and
equipment at Fire Station 41.
Coordination is essential as Fire Station 41 is an operational site.
The work shall be sequenced as necessary to coordinate the work of all subcontractors and
suppliers in the most effective manner to diligently complete the work and meet the project
schedule as well as the Contract completion deadline.
If required to be performed during non-scheduled off hours and/or weekends as necessary to
meet the project schedule or sequence of the work, it shall then be performed by the Contractor
at no additional cost to the owner (MDFR), and authorized by the Construction Manager in
advance of the event.
If the Contractor disturbs any existing adjacent areas and spaces during the project, the
Contractor shall then repair or replace as needed to match existing or bring back to its original
conditions to match prior conditions and appearance to the satisfaction of the MDFR Construction
Manager.
All construction related debris shall be removed by the contractor daily, as construction debris
piling WILL NOT be allowed unless properly placed in a construction dumpster. A construction
dumpster will be used for loose debris and construction waste materials, unless contractor
removes the construction debris daily and immediately after each construction phase. The project
grounds both during and after construction shall be clean of ALL related construction debris
including nails, scrap materials, etc. The Contractor is responsible and shall include the dumpster
and/or debris removal (hauling) in their price.
Storage of materials will only be allowed by contractor written request and MDFR Construction
written approval. If grounds are used for storing material, equipment, working area, etc.,
contractor will return grounds, grass areas to their original conditions; this includes any damage
occurred during construction phase process.
Contractors are not to use the MDFR facilities for personal use, except in case of an emergency.
As part of this contract, the Contractor is to obtain Temporary Bathrooms Facilities, i.e. Port-o-
Potty and have it serviced weekly. The Temporary Bathroom Facilities shall be available from the
NTP date to the completion of the project.
MDFR Emergency vehicles have the right-of-way at all times. The Contractors are not to block or
interfere with MDFR daily fire station operations.
Safety and Security Precautions: The Contractor will follow all health and safety regulations
throughout the project. All on-site contractor’s personnel shall have identification and or company
business attire according to the rules and regulations set by the Miscellaneous Construction
Contract 7040. The Contractor shall be responsible for the storage and protection of materials &
