RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of Winkler Creek Raw Water Intake Dredging will be received
by the Town of Boone until 02:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Immediately thereafter,
all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids may be dropped off in person or mailed to:
Josh Eller, Public Works Deputy Director, Town of Boone Public Works 321 East King Street, Boone NC
28607. Bids must be made on the blank form provided in the Project Manual and be in a sealed envelope
labeled “Bid for Winkler Creek Raw Water Intake Dredging” with the name, address and license
number of the bidder plainly marked on the outside of the envelope.
The Project consists of all labor, materials, tools and equipment for dredging at the Winkler Creek
Raw Water Intake including erosion control, stream crossing, haul road installation, dredging,
dewatering, hauling off dredge material, reclamation, fence replacement and gate installation.
All bidders must include with their bids an Affidavit (1) attesting to the Contractor’s compliance with E-
Verify (or, if the Contractor employs less than 25 employees in this state, attesting to that fact), and (2)
attesting to the Contractor’s subcontractors’ compliance with E-Verify (or, if any subcontractors employ
less than 25 employees in this state, attesting to that fact). All bidders must include with their bids an Iran
Divestment Certification.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the
Bid Form. Bid security is required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to
comply with all requirements of this notice or the Contract Documents; however, the Owner may waive
any minor defects or informalities at their discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any
and all proposals or award the contract in their best interest.

Prospective Bidders may examine and/or pick up documents at the issuing office, Municipal Engineering
Inc., 820-B State Farm Road, Boone, NC 28607, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m.
and 5:00 p.m. Bidding documents may be examined online at Construct Connect, Dodge Data Analytics
and the Town of Boone website.
All project-related questions are to be submitted in writing via e-mail to the Engineer,
acrees@mesco.com. No questions are to be directed to Town personnel.
