Project Title: Tyrrell County Health Department Renovations Phase II
Description: Sealed proposals for the construction of the Tyrrell County Health Department Renovations Phase II, 408 Bridge St., Columbia, NC, will be received until 2:00pm on December13, 2024 at the office of Cahoon and Kasten Architects, 118 W. Woodhill Dr., Nags Head, NC, at which time and place the bids will not be opened and read publicly. Phase II renovations include flooring and painting improvements. Flooring improvements include removing existing VCT tile underlayment, and base and install new VCT tile on ¼” underlayment and new rubber base; and removing existing vinyl tile floor, clean existing concrete, and apply concrete sealer on lower level. Painting includes interior and exterior areas. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on November 22, 2024, at 108 Water St, Columbia, NC 27925 at 2:00pm after which a walk-through of the project site will take place. Tyrrell County has received a $900,000 Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) grant to fund multiple activities of which one is this project. All federal CDBG requirements will apply to the contract. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 & Order No. 11375 which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI if the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and 40 CFR 33.240. Tyrrell County prohibits discrimination in any manner on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicap or sexual orientation and will pursue an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting, and conducting business with Historically Underutilized Businesses (women and minority-owned and Section 3 business enterprises).
