MATS MPO 2050 METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN UPDATE

The Macon-Bibb Planning & Zoning Commission, in their capacity as the staff of the Macon Area Transportation Study Metropolitan Planning Organization (MATS MPO) seeks to solicit competitive proposals from responsible vendors to assist with updating the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (2050 MTP) for the MATS MPO region. The scope of the study will include a full update to the 2050 MTP, consistent with the requirements set forth under 23 CFR 450.324; identification of needed future projects, and prioritization of said future projects; public engagement activities; and, in coordination with MATS MPO staff, providing assistance with any updates to associated documents. Services are anticipated to be performed between January 5, 2026 and April 28, 2027 (i.e., FY 2025 through FY 2027). The cost is not anticipated to exceed $300,000.00, subject to both award of Federal funding, and final negotiation with the awarded vendor.
