Description

The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell Air Force Base AFB, AL, is seeking 250 iPad mini 7th generation to update and replace aging and unsupported electronic flight bags (EFBs). These devices serve as publications libraries and in-flight maps/charts. Description of the requirement can be found in the Draft Statement of Requirement (SOR). The contractor shall furnish all necessary equipment, including delivery, assembly, disassembly, and training on equipment. All feedback and information received may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy. The Government is seeking information from industry to assist in determining what types of products and capabilities are available in the market for this type of requirement outlined in the attached DRAFT STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT (SOR).





NOTES OF IMPORTANCE:





1. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought synopsis, so please do not submit proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought.

2. If the Government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your responses to this sources sought may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary.

3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this sources sought. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents.

4. Oral submissions of information will not be considered in response to this sources sought.





To assist the Government in developing a potential acquisition strategy, please provide the following information:





1. GENERAL INFORMATION:

a. Company name, address, point of contact, voice and fax telephone numbers and email address.

b. Type of business, (i.e., small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced- disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc.), under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 541519, which contains a size standard of $34.0M. CAGE Code and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).

c. Under which NAICS code does your company usually provide the objectives described above. Please provide rationale for your answer if different from NAICS 541519.

d. Please describe any customary commercial contract terms or conditions that you feel would make any resulting contract more effective if applicable.





2. CAPABILITIES: The Government is seeking sources to purchase 250 iPad mini 7th generation to update and replace aging and unsupported electronic flight bags (EFBs). Please address the following regarding your capabilities in meeting the requirements:

a. Can your company meet the requirement by providing 250 iPad mini 7th generation to update and replace aging and unsupported electronic flight bags (EFBs)? If so, please indicate so in your company’s response.

b. If your company can provide an “or equal” product that will meet the minimum specifications listed in the attached SOR, please provide the product name, item number, and specifications.
