PART I
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND SERVICES REQUIRED
1.0 INTRODUCTION/DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT/SERVICES:
The Springfield-Branson National Airport is seeking proposals from qualified firms/providers to design and implement a replacement
public address and terminal paging system at the main terminal.
The Springfield-Branson National Airport is looking to enhance passenger experience and improve operations for airport and tenant
staff by replacing the current end-of-life AtlasIED system, with one that is secure, reliable, and scalable. The driving force is
replacement of legacy equipment using the Cobranet protocol that is end-of-life/end-of-support.
The new system should prioritize secure, reliable, and clear communication throughout the terminal while providing an intuitive easy-
to-use interface. The airport uses the system to disseminate a variety of information and communications, including scheduled pre-
recorded announcements, zone based and terminal wide announcements, per airline gate boarding calls, emergency broadcasts, and
would like the option to be able to play background noise or music if desired.
The project will encompass all design, installation, support, and warranty of software and hardware, as well as the cut-over, testing,
and training of the new system as defined in the request for proposal.
In addition to the procurement and installation of the hardware, SGF is seeking proposals for a five-year maintenance agreement.
2.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES
The objective is to replace the existing IED system headend, including servers, software, amplifiers, and any other hardware
required to provide the airport with a turnkey, full featured, and fully functioning PA/Terminal Address system.
2.1 SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
2.1.1 IP and Dante protocol system and components. No reliance on Cobranet or Cobranet workarounds will be
accepted.
2.1.2 Redundant headend with proposal for highly available or fail-over scenarios to maximize system uptime and
function in 24x7x365+ airport environment.
2.1.3
Spare parts ready to hot swap including (3) spare paging stations, (6) spare microphones, (2) spare channels/cards,
failover DSPs, backup amplifiers at correct settings to facilitate redundancy and fast recovery. Minimum quantities
listed, service provider may make recommendations.
2.1.4 Centralized management, configuration backup and change tracking, monitoring, and alerting leveraging industry
best practice SNMPv3 or similar.
2.1.5
Industrial grade, PoE powered, Dante compatible, IP paging stations/consoles with intuitive zone selection, group
paging, emergency announcement interrupt from designated locations, and replaceable/serviceable parts and
microphones.
2.1.6 Integrate with approximately 540 existing 70v/100v AtlasIED ceiling speakers and surface mount speakers.
2.1.7 Redundant power-supplies where possible on hardware, especially within racks in audio/network closets.
2.1.8 Network configuration to facilitate Gigabit Ethernet, mixed network traffic, Quality of Service (QoS), DSCP tagging,
support for multicast, and any Dante or other network needs.
2.1.9 Capability of system to integrate with SGF Flight Information Display System (FIDS) Terminal Systems International
(TSI) for visual paging
