Synopsis:
|
|
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of Harvesting Services for Cypress Hills Inter-Provincial Park (CHIPP), as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A).
The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sports (PCS), Park Division is responsible for managing the enhancement of Saskatchewan’s provincial parks system, conservation of the ecosystems and cultural resources, to provide a safe and healthy environment for park visitors.
The outcomes expected from this competition are:
• Forest Renewal of 1000 hectares (ha) of park forest land in CHIPP over a five-year period
• Reduction of overmature forest in CHIPP which will help reduce mountain pine beetle populations while also reducing wildfire risk in the park
