Project Title: City of Havelock, 2025 Stormwater Drainage Piping Replacement 951 E. Main St., Havelock, NC. 28532
Description: Objective: Replace the Stormwater Drainage Piping with new HDPE Stormwater Piping. Scope: The existing Stormwater Drainage Pipe to be replaced is currently an RCP Pipe and is to be replaced with a HP Stormwater Drainage Pipe. The existing RCP Pipe is approximately 140 lineal feet in length at a depth of approximately 4.5’ deep to the invert of the pipe; 24” diameter and shall be replaced with HP Stormwater Drainage Pipe to the same length, depth, diameter and elevation. The HP Stormwater Drainage Pipe is to be dual wall construction meeting ASTM standards including ASTM F2881 or AASHTO M330 Type S for corrugated pipes. Piping shall have a smooth interior and corrugated exterior with joining systems of bell and spigot couplings. There shall also be a 3’X3’ Inside Diameter DOT Rated Pre-Cast Drop Inlet installed 70’ from the upstream end of the Stormwater Drainage Pipe. The DOT Rated Pre-Cast Drop Inlet shall have a compressive strength of no less than 4,000 psi, DOT rated steel grated top, and a design load rating meeting AASHTO HS20 standards. There is 55’ of Curbing surrounding a raised grass bed, a portion of this curbing will have to be removed to access the RCP Stormwater Drainage Pipe. This Curbing shall be replaced before the completion of this project. See figure 4. The influent and effluent Stormwater Drainage Pipe has concrete flumes and will have to be removed during this project. These two concrete flumes are to be replaced in kind before completion of this project. See figure 5. There is a parking lot which is 75’ long, there shall be a 5’ wide area removed for the Stormwater Drainage Pipe replacement. There is also a driveway which is 30’ long, there shall be a 5’ wide area removed for the Stormwater Drainage replacement. See figure 6. The parking lot and driveway are to be restored to an as was or better condition before the completion of this project
