The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract N0001922G0006-N0001923F0173 modification P00002 to General Atomics- Aeronautical Systems INC., Poway, CA for the procurement of 5 additional Air Vehicle Kits previously awarded on the base delivery order.
This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c}(l}, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The determination by the Government not to compete this effort was solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 21-0382, 14 March 2023 - redacted version attached to this announcement.
