Independent External Audit Services

Project Description: Grand County, Utah is seeking proposals from qualified independent certified public accountants or firms to provide external audit services for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. The selected individual or firm will work with the Grand County finance team to perform an audit of the County’s financial statements, review internal controls, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
In addition to auditing the County’s financial statements, the selected firm will also be responsible for conducting audits of four of the County’s component units, which include:
1. Canyonlands Health Care Special Service District
2. Grand County Recreation Special Service District
3. Solid Waste Special Service District #1
4. Grand County Emergency Medical Services Special Service District
Experience in governmental auditing standards, modified accrual accounting methods, and financial reporting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) will be heavily weighted in selection of contractor.
