Pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes 143-129 sealed bids for Backflow Repair Parts for
the City of Asheville will be received by Fahad Yoosuf, Purchasing Coordinator, at 70 Court
Plaza, Asheville, NC until 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 26, 2026 , at which time they will be
publicly opened and read. Exceptions and questions are due by 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 16,
2026 . The public may attend the bid opening in person at Asheville City Hall, Room 100C, or via
a Google Meet Link that can be found on our bid page.
Proposal forms, instructions, and specifications may be obtained at
http://www.ashevillenc.gov/bids or the Purchasing Office Mon day through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00
p.m. Phone (828) 259-5950 . If bid addenda are issued, they will be posted to this website no
less than seven (7) days before the bid opening date. Each addendum will be identified by
number. Bidders are urged to check this page before submitting a bid response to ensure that
they have obtained all addenda that may have been issued for the bid package in question. The
bid addenda should be acknowledged (signed) and included with the bid response. Bid
responses submitted without acknowledged addenda may be rejected.
The City of Asheville has adopted the Asheville Business Inclusion Policy to encourage women
and minority businesses' participation in the public bidding process. The purpose of this outreach
effort is to increase the likelihood of the availability and utilization of MWBEs in the award of
contracts. Bidders are hereby notified that this bid is subject to that Policy's provisions. Questions

Bidders are invited to show proof of MWBE status, including the NC Office of Historically
Underutilized Businesses or other MWBE certifications. If not already certified by the ABI Office
at the City of Asheville, bidders are further invited to become certified as an MWBE vendor.
