Description:

The CITY OF HUTTO (OWNER) is soliciting COMPETITIVE SEALED PROPOSALS for the HUTTO LAKE PARK PLAYGROUND. The project consists of the redevelopment and renovation of the existing ½-acre playground at Hutto Lake Park. Work includes demolition, removal, and proper disposal of existing concrete sidewalks, playground curbs and surfacing, and playground equipment. Limited erosion control measures will be implemented to protect surrounding areas during construction, and tree protection measures will be installed to preserve existing trees within and adjacent to the project site.

Improvements include installation of new concrete sidewalks and playground curbing, and associated site grading to ensure proper drainage and accessibility and coordination for new 2-5 and 5-12 playgrounds. The project also includes installation of new landscaping and an irrigation system to support plant establishment and enhance the overall functionality and aesthetics of the playground area.

Construction is expected to take 90 calendar days.

Article I. Executive Summary and Exhibits

1.1 Executive Summary & Scope of Work

The City of Hutto, a home-rule municipality, is seeking Request for Proposals (RFPs) for

a qualified and experienced contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for

the reconstruction of and converting grass lined drainage channels to rectangular

concrete channels, construction of a retaining wall, and modifications to a concrete

outlet structure of a detention pond.

Each proposal must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the City of Hutto

in an amount of five percent (5%) of BIDDER's total Bid amount in the form of a certified

or cashier's check on a state or national bank or an acceptable Bid Bond issued by a

reliable surety company as a guarantee that the Bidder, if selected, will enter into a

contract and execute the required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days

after notice of award.

The City of Hutto will consider proposals from business entities that demonstrate the

ability to complete the Project within the guidelines of this solicitation, following all

applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations and the terms and

conditions contained in Exhibit B. Respondent must execute Exhibit A and complete

other items listed on the Submission Checklist to be considered for award.
