Tributary 6 Storm Sewer Improvements - Ladue, MO

The City of Ladue Public Works Department is soliciting bids for the installation of a storm sewer system and the construction of channel improvements and new concrete sidewalk at a location on Clayton Road about 200 feet west of the Cella Road intersection. The work will include, among other things: the installation of approximately 180 lineal feet of new 48” diameter storm sewer and approximately 140 lineal feet of storm and sanitary sewers ranging in diameter from 10” to 27”; installation of a pre-cast concrete junction chamber; removal of existing storm sewers and approximately 137 lineal feet of existing steel guardrail; removal and replacement of approximately 300 lineal feet of concrete sidewalk and curb, including curb ramps; removal and replacement of miscellaneous sections on bituminous pavement; regrading and rock lining approximately 140 lineal feet of open channel; and the installation storm and sanitary sewer manholes and inlets.

Sealed bids will be received until the above time at Ladue City Hall, 9345 Clayton Road; Ladue, MO 63124. Bids will be promptly opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers. The City reserves the right in the City’s sole discretion to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or deficiencies in any or all bids, to negotiate with any or all bidders or others for more favorable terms or prices, to award on any bid that is most advantageous and to investigate the experience and ability of the bidder to perform the work.

An optional prebid conference will be held at City of Ladue City Council Chambers, 9345 Clayton Road at the above tiime.

Prevailing wages according to the current Missouri State Department of Labor Relations must be paid, as contained in the bid documents. Bids should be accompanied by a bid surety in the form of a certified check or bid bond for 5% of the bid total.

Contractor shall require all on-site employees to complete a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project, as more fully set forth in the bid documents.

The successful bidder shall be required to execute the City Contract Agreement contained in the bid documents.

The City of Ladue hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
