GENERAL INFORMATION
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. It is issued for market research purposes to identify interested and capable sources for a future requirement. Information submitted is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for any costs incurred in responding. The 9th Contracting Squadron at Beale AFB, CA, is conducting market research to identify interested and capable sources for the fabrication, delivery, and installation of replacement exterior shade canopies at the 9th Communications Squadron atrium. The Government has currently identified NAICS code 337920 (Blind and Shade Manufacturing) as the primary classification for this requirement. However, the Government invites interested vendors to provide feedback regarding the appropriateness of this NAICS code and to suggest any alternative NAICS or Product Service Codes (PSC) that may better align with the scope of this commodity requirement.
BACKGROUND AND SCOPE
The 9th Communications Squadron requires safe, functional, and mission-supportive outdoor spaces for personnel movement and daily operations. The existing atrium shade canopies have exceeded their service life and no longer meet structural, safety, or appearance standards. Exposure to weather and age-related degradation has resulted in material wear, reduced tension integrity, and diminished protective capability. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and professional services required to remove the existing shade canopies and install new replacement canopies. Work includes fabrication, delivery, installation, and any required hardware replacement. All work shall comply with applicable codes, Air Force standards, and Beale AFB requirements.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
The specific requirement involves the removal and replacement of five (5) exterior shade canopies, approximately 30 ft x 30 ft in size. These canopies shall be fabricated using commercial-grade, fire-resistant shade cloth available in multiple colors. The contractor is responsible for measuring all canopy locations to ensure precise fabrication. Installation will utilize existing cables and hardware; however, the contractor must replace components as necessary to ensure proper fitness and structural integrity. All work must comply with applicable safety, structural, and installation standards, including the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), California Building Code (CBC), and Beale AFB supplemental requirements.
RESPONSE INFORMATION REQUESTED
Interested vendors should submit a response that includes company information, capabilities, and a rough order of magnitude. Company information must include the Company Name, Address, CAGE Code, UEI Number, and a designated Point of Contact with their name, title, phone, and email. Please also specify your business size and socio-economic status, such as Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), SDVOSB, or WOSB. The capabilities statement should describe your company's specific experience in the fabrication and installation of commercial-grade tensioned fabric structures. Please confirm your ability to provide the necessary personnel, tools, and equipment to operate in an active operational environment and your ability to meet all cited compliance standards. Additionally, provide a high-level Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) for the total project cost, including removal, fabrication, and installation. This ROM is for informational and market research purposes only.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Please provide any suggestions, questions, or concerns regarding the requirements or the proposed contract structure within your response. All submissions must be sent via email to Katherine Moe at katherine.moe@us.af.mil and Lamar Mullins at lamar.mullins@us.af.mil.
