The City University of New York ("CUNY or the "University") is seeking a well-a well-qualified, highly motivated, and innovative event planning firm (“Contractor” or "Consultant") to provide planning and management consultant services ("Services") in connection with the annual CUNY Supplier Diversity Conference on Contract Opportunities ("Event"). The primary goal of this Event is to encourage the participation of New York State ("NYS") certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises ("MWBE") and NYS-certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses ("SDVOB") on CUNY contracts. Services to be provided by the Consultant shall include but not be limited to planning, production, coordination, marketing, presentation, and evaluation of the Event.
The Event is tentatively scheduled for July 30, 2025, to be held at one of the College Campus to be determined. Pursuant to its discretionary authority under the New York State Education Law and State Finance Law, this procurement opportunity is limited to businesses certified pursuant to Articles 15-A (MWBE) and/or 17-B (SDVOB) of the New York State Executive Law. As such, CUNY has not established subcontracting goals for this procurement. NYS-certified MWBEs and SDVOBs are strongly encouraged to respond back to this solicitation. Proposals from vendors that do not meet the certification criteria indicated above will not be evaluated.
The Procurement Lobbying Act (PLA) Applies to this Solicitation. The restricted period began with the publication of this ad.
Compliance Procurement Lobbying Act
Under the requirements of the State Procurement Lobbying Act all communications regarding advertised projects are to be channeled through the Office of the Executive Director of Strategic Sourcing and Chief Procurement Officer (*Designated Contacts). Until a designation is made, communication with any other CUNY employees concerning this project that is determined to be an attempt to influence the procurement may result in disqualification.
