Demographer Services

The County of San Mateo is soliciting a quote for demographic analysis firms/consultants (“Consultants”) to provide demographic services, in support of a comprehensive authoritative, data-driven analysis with focus on understanding of current conditions, historical trends, and future projections for the County’s population and key socioeconomic characteristics.

The analysis and report will support County policy development, long-range planning, budget decisions, and Board priority-setting across multiple service areas, including housing, emergency preparedness, economic vitality, aging, equity, childcare, workforce development, and health.

The selected firm is expected to provide a report in written and electronic form and to present findings in a formal presentation to the County Executive Office and Board of Supervisors. Additional information is included in the scope of services.

County of San Mateo is among the nine counties that comprise the San Francisco Bay Area, one of the most dynamic and diverse regions in the United States. The county occupies 448.6 square miles and contains 20 cities on a Peninsula bounded by the City and County of San Francisco to the north and Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties to the south. San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean form the east and west boundaries, respectively.
