| RFx Description | Maternal mortality remains a high public health issue in Mississippi, where rates of pregnancy related death are higher than national average. MSDH Office of Maternal and Infant Health is committed to reducing preventable maternal deaths and improving maternal health outcomes across the state. The MMRC plays a This contract for professional services is needed to support the legislatively mandated Maternal Mortality Review Committee administrative processes, which have grown in complexity and administrative burden over the past 12 months. The funding for this contract will be supported by CDC ERASE MM grant awarded to the MSDH Maternal and Infant Health Bureau.major role in identifying factors to maternal mortality and making evidence-based recommendations to prevent future deaths. The committee reviews de-identiied records, social data, and other relevant information to evaluate the circumstances surrounding each death to determine whether the death was preventable. Completing this work requires extensive administrative coordination, secure data management, and culturally sensitive facilitation. | ||
