Summary

The Contractor shall provide net removal and replacement, debris removal, and general maintenance for nine (9) Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Floatables control sites located in the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (herein referred to as the “Sewer District”) service area (Figure 1). The Contractor shall also be responsible for providing general maintenance services at the Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation, the Shaw Brook Chicken Wire Site, East 55 th Street Floating Boom Containment Area and Westerly CEHRT Effluent and Flow Control Chambers. The Contractor shall provide all mobilization, labor, equipment, vehicles, supplies, tools, fuel, disposal, and any other incidentals necessary for the performance of all work specified herein.

Background

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (Sewer District) protects public health and the environment by leading effective wastewater and stormwater management. As the largest wastewater treatment provider in the State of Ohio, the Sewer District spans 380 square miles, serves 62 communities and one million residents, treats 90 billion gallons of wastewater a year, and manages more than 400 miles of streams.

In addition to its award-winning treatment plant and laboratory performance, the Sewer District's Project Clean Lake construction program will reduce annual Lake Erie pollution by 4 billion gallons by 2035, while its Regional Stormwater Management Program addresses widespread inter-community problems like flooding, pollution, and erosion.
