Office: Naval Sea Systems Command
Location: NSWC Crane Division
Classification Code: AC13 – National Defense R&D Services; Department of Defense – military; Experimental Development
NAICS Code: 541715 - Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology)
Response Due Date: 21 July 2025
REQUEST FOR SOLUTION:
Military Sealift Command (MSC) MOUNTED DRAKE INTEGRATION
(S2MARTS)
This Special Notice is issued to provide awareness of the release of a Request for Solutions (RFS) for an other transaction project in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 4022. The RFS title Military Sealift Command (MSC) Mounted Drake Integration has been issued as part of the Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trust Systems (S2MARTS) consortium managed by National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) and administered by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division.
2. BACKGROUND AND SUMMARY
2.1 Other Transaction Consortium
Vendors interested in responding to this RFS must be members of the Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted Systems (S2MARTS) Consortium. Interested parties may visit S2MARTS.org for membership information.
2.2 PROJECT OVERVIEW
The mount for the Drone Restricted Access Using Known Electromagnetic Warfare (DRAKE) system is evolving as it is no longer used solely for vehicle attachment. DRAKE provides UAS detection and performs non-kinetic effects to neutralize drone swarms. The DRAKE use case requires the mount to attach to ships, necessitating an obsolescence mitigation effort to ensure the mount supports its current applications. This prototype effort addresses the evolving nature of the current mount design by completing a new drawing package that will result in a near form, fit, and function replacement of the current vehicle mount.
Current DRAKE Mounted system is designed for ground vehicle integration. Currently the DRAKE system is used in ground-based vehicles and ground based stationary systems. The desire is to create a fixed mount to ship platforms, which will allow for permanent UAS detection and jamming on these ship platforms.
