Note: This is a sealed bid. All submissions should be placed in an envelope
which is sealed by the bidder with the outside of the envelope marked ‘Bid –
Demolition of 300’ Guyed Tower’. Bid envelopes shall be submitted to the
Durant City Clerk, 300 West Evergreen, Room 100, Durant, OK 74701 no later
than March 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Bid must be submitted on city form
provided to be considered. No bids will be accepted by email or fax. The bid
opening will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Durant
City Hall Council Chambers, 300 West Evergreen, Durant, OK 74701. Bidders
are not required to be present at the bid opening but are welcome to attend.
1. Scope of Work
Demolition of 300’ guyed tower.

Crew will hold a safety meeting with city representative present
and post appropriate warning signs.
Prep the tower for removal – cut the conduit at each tower
section, remove safeties from the anchors and remove any
antennas the city may want to keep.
Remove all ground anchors at the base of the footings.
Fill hoes left by ground anchors.
Provide a crane(s) and forklift(s) to down stack the tower and
have it removed from the premises to recyclers.
Crane and rigging inspections/calculations must be provided
before crane operations begin.
Clean up the site and load out the equipment.
A current copy of company’s insurance and bonding will be
provided to the city before any work has started.
Any damage to city, state or private property will be covered
under company’s insurance policy.
NOTE: Tower removal does not include radio shelter, tower
foundation, or grounding.
