Comprehensive Landscape Action Plan

The purpose of this Request is to solicit proposals from those Offerors, whose primary discipline is Landmark Planning and Public Landscape Design, to create a Comprehensive Landscape Action Plan (CLAP) to the Fort Monroe Authority (FMA), a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Owner. This comprehensive plan will be for Fort Monroe, which is located on Old Point Comfort, Virginia, a former US Army post and a National Historic Landmark (NHL) District. Old Point Comfort (Fort Monroe) is located within the municipal boundary of the City of Hampton, Virginia. The FMA seeks to create a sustainable, beautiful, accessible, unified, and animated public space and premiere national destination. The CLAP will build upon previous planning exercises, adhere to established Governing Documents, and aim high in aspiration and design principles that create a world-class public landscape. The FMA intends for the site to elevate Fort Monroeâs presence as an iconic, well-cared for, well-loved, and celebrated Virginia landscape.
