Summary

The City of Charlottesville is requesting bids for IFB 26-76 for WALKER UPPER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL- CAFETERIA GLASS WALL REPLACEMENT .

Project Description:
Replace the existing glass wall system in the cafeteria of Walker Upper Elementary school with new. See Construction Documents for further details.

Background

Starting in August 2026, Walker will no longer be an Upper Elementary school. It will instead house a temporary pre-k center (while the permanent pre-k center is being built). The cafeteria will become an indoor play area for the pre-k children. The purpose of this project is to replace the glass wall in the cafeteria, to a more modern, secure and safe design.
