OVERVIEW

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 is conducting market research to identify potential sources for the delivery of ultrasound tables to the Wake County VA Outpatient Clinic located at 2700 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. See scope of work. Forward all questions to the Contracting Officer identified below.

SCOPE OF WORK

Wake County VA Outpatient Clinic is requesting contractors to provide brand name or equal equipment that meets or exceeds the physical, functional, and performance of the listed salient characteristics in this section. The equipment feature is essential to the technical requirements to meet the needs of different departments/services.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Equipment must have the physical characteristics to enable the government to perform the capabilities:

Ergonomic design helps prevent musculoskeletal injuries, comfortable shoulder, arm and hand positions when scanning
Allow standing or seated work positions
500lbs patient capacity, suitable for bariatric patients
Height range down to 23 accommodates wheelchair transfers and those with ambulatory difficulties to 29 height.
Trendelenburg: 0° to ±15° - Fowler Back: 0° to 80° infinitely adjustable
Controls: Hand Control (included): Activates height, Trendelenburg motions, Fowler back and auto level motions
Tabletop: Three primary sections: torso section with Fowler back positioning, center section remains fixed and leg section drops down to 40° and 80° for stirrup access
Mattress: Torso section 2" thick, center and leg sections 3" thick, antimicrobial mattress cover
Wheels: 5" Individual locking swivel casters; central floor locking system

For market research purposes, all responses to this notice will be reviewed, regardless of small business/socioeconomic category, including those firms that are identified as large businesses. Review of responses to this notice will support later determination of set-aside requirements, if a solicitation becomes available, where the rule of two is met regarding a set-aside, including set-asides under 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128 for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and/or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) firms registered in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database, in accordance with priorities set by regulation.

(2.) Company name, SAM.gov UEI number, small business/socioeconomic status of the company, and address of the applicable office.
(3.) Provide marketing literature of the available product that meets the salient characteristics provided.
(4.) Companies shall state country of origin of the product(s) referenced in their response.
(5.) Companies shall state the business size of the manufacturer and provide a point of contact for the manufacturer.

Additional information may be requested by the Contracting Officer at a later time.
