Sealed proposals for “Noble Street Storm Sewer Improvements” will be received by the Borough of Sellersville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, via PennBid, until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Monday, July 7, 2025.
This project will consist of the removal of the existing concrete culvert/pad and 30” CMP along the north side of the alley. Installation of a DW headwall with trash rack, new Type-M inlet with Type D-H inlet box, approximately 235’ of 48” RCP storm pipe, DW endwall, and rip-rap apron. Erosion control will also be included as part of the contract. Stabilization and Bracing of the existing utility pole will be considered incidental to the contract. A $10,000 allowance has been included in the contract in the event there are unforeseen changes to the scope of work.
Bids will be administered via PennBid. Complete sets of contract documents are available via www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay "PennBID" a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Sellersville.
A Prebid Meeting will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Sellersville Borough Office, 140 East Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960. The meeting will be followed by a tour of the project sites, if requested. Attendance at this meeting is not mandatory.
Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
