Project Description: The purpose of this request is to solicit proposals for the development of a comprehensive, multi-modal Transportation Master Plan as a component of the City’s General Plan. Spanish Fork City currently has a population of approximately 50,000 residents. This number is expected to double within the next 25-30 years, creating significant challenges relating to transportation planning. Furthermore, several large regional arterial corridors cut through the City, meaning that regional growth trends also significantly impact the City’s transportation network.
The City’s most recent amendment to the Transportation Master Plan occurred in September 2024, but aside from several spot studies, establishment of TAZs and other travel demand model work has not occurred since 2019. As such, the City expects local and regional developments to significantly change the TDM assumptions that informed the 2019 TMP.
It is expected that this TMP work will inform policy and planning activities on a 30-year horizon. As such, the TDM is expected to accommodate volume projections
until 2055.
