The Virginia Department of Fire Programs (VDFP) is seeking a successful candidate/firm for an internal auditor with the ability to perform IT audits in accordance with Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) Information Security Audit Standard (SEC502), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS, Yellow Book within the Virginia Department of Fire Programs. The candidate will have the experience, knowledge, and skill set required to conduct IT Audits consistent with SE502.

I1_1. Conducts Technology Security audits consistent with SEC502.
Deadlines ranging from: Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annually
Analyze agency, vendor, and VITA managed controls consistent with SEC503trols
Provide recommendations to VDFP Leadership so the VDFP Information Security Officer can submit/report them to the Virginia Information Technology Risk team as required COV IT Standards.
Perform and review operational reviews of key business processes to identify deficiencies and weaknesses.
Perform compliance reviews to determine if established policies and procedures are being adhered to.
Provide recommendations where policies and processes do not exist and/or are improved on.
Provide support and assistance when needed for APA/OAG auditing
Provide the Virginia Department of Fire Programs with an audit report to include all findings associated with the sensitive system.
